Miss Priss

Mila Kunis is the current face of Christian Dior's Miss Dior accessories.  She's such a perfect choice because not only is she witty and beautiful, but she's such a star on the rise.  Mila can basically do no wrong in Hollywood right now.  She's perfect mix of siren and hilarious comedienne.  Her new fall campaign for Dior featuring Mila looking like a 1960s starlet with large bouffant and chic styling.  Also, notice her giant bow! I'm in love.  There's also a video teaser that Dior put together to go with the shots.  The storyline shows Mila as the type of girl who is used to be constantly stalked by paparazzi.  It's all so chic.  J'adore Dior.

La Dolce Vita

Have y'all seen the Dolce & Gabbana ads lately?  Like for the past year?  Because, they've been amazing.  They've been featuring icon Italian actress Monica Bellucci interacting with some typical Italian characters.  What I love about these ads are that they feature real life scenes.  The photographs are not brooding and pouty with stick thin models, they are full of life and attitude.  True Italian women in my opinion.  These are the kind of scenes (and clothes!) that make me want to be a D&G woman.  For a collection that was full of lots of heavy, dark looks, these photos are completely lively, setting the perfect tone.  The new ads for Fall 2012 feature Bellucci alongside Bianca Balti and Bianca Brandolini in Southern Italy.  Enjoy!

Trip to Bombay

Today I'm headed to Louisville, Kentucky for my first ever Indian wedding.  I'm excited to see what will be in store and can't wait to see my dear friend from SCAD in her brightly colored wedding attire (that she got in India!).  To help get in the mood, here are some slightly odd photos from the Chanel pre-fall ad campaign.  Last December, Karl Lagerfeld showed the Chanel collection that is debuting now which he entitled Paris-Bombay.  It's a mix of classic tweeds with Indian embroideries and intricacies.  While I don't support model Daria Strokous' dreadlock hairdo, the clothing details are still stunning.

Enjoy!

Cooling Off

Bally is truly a luxury brand.  One that I don't think gets enough recognition from people.  It's definitely not as edgy or trendy as other luxury brands have become, but that's one of the reasons I like Bally so much.  They know who they are and they don't stray from that.  Bally was founded in 1851 in Switzerland as a shoe maker and their reputation for quality shoes has spanned over 150 years.

Lately, I have been obsessed with Bally's advertising campaigns.  The Spring/Summer campaign was fun and laid back and the new Fall/Winter campaign features the same relax sensibility while being completely chic.  Photographed by Norman Jean Roy and starring Caroline Trentini and Hilary Rhoda at the Chalet D'Adrien in the Swiss Alps, these ads are making me long for cool winter weather in the mountains.  Especially when it's so hot outside with no chance of cooling down for months.  So whenever I'm feeling heatstroke coming on, I'll think of these ads and visualize riding through the snow-capped mountains while trying to conjure up cooler temperatures.
