Things I Love ... Parisian Bistro Chairs
One of my favorite things about Paris is the plethora of charming side walk cafes. And one of the best things about cafes (aside from fresh croissants) are the bistro chairs. Anywhere you go in Paris they, the same chairs provide a comfortable perch to people watch. I've been noticing some kitchen interior designs that feature these chairs (and barstools!). I would definitely love to take this little bit of Paris with me and make my kitchen my own little Parisian cafe.

Kitchen Chic
I'm still visiting friends and family in Dallas so I'm spending less time on my computer finding inspiration. But I found this image on Pinterest and it's too good not to share. It includes some of my favorite elements - seating nook, big window, white cabinetry, black and white decor, oh and an amazing little chandelier over the nook! It's flawless. It's also a great way to utilize what looks like a smaller space. Yet the colors make it look bright but the pillows, shades, lighting and tiny table next to the nook create a comfortably cozy vibe.

Stranded on an Island
Earlier I was flipping through the current Architectural Digest and began drooling over a picture of Arie and Coco Kopelman's kitchen in their Nantucket home (Arie is the former president of Chanel and they are Drew Barrymore's new in-laws). While looking at why I love this kitchen, I realized I have an obsession for kitchen islands. My kitchen pinboard is replete with islands, usually with chic barstools and white marble countertops. As someone who enjoys cooking, especially baking where a lot of space is often required, the extra counterspace that an island brings is much appreciated. It's also a great way to store extra kitchen equipment. For that dream house I keep mentioning, a large island is definitely a must.
Here are some of my favorites...

The Kopelman's kitchen. I love the space for the stools to be tucked in, not to mention the French bistro style bar stools. Obsessed. |

Obsessed with this entire kitchen. The detail on the cabinets and the lamps are perfection. |
