Comfy Cozy
It's dreary here in Atlanta today, with temperatures staying around the 50s. And while I love this chilly, fall weather, it would be the perfect today to extend my weekend and be cozy inside. It's days like this that I miss having a fireplace. If I could I'd curl up in a nook someplace... but instead I have to do homework and go to school so I'm unpacking all my sweaters.

Things I Love ... Cozy Sweaters
It's beginning to feel like fall here in Atlanta. In the mornings there is a slight chill in the air, and although it usually warms up by the afternoon, I feel like fall temperatures and leaves changing colors are just around the corner. My favorite part of fall is by far big, cozy sweaters. I have some that I could live in (and sometimes it feel like I do...).
Here's to sweater weather!
P.S. Is anyone else excited about the Emmy awards this weekend! Stay tuned for a red carpet review!

Back to School
Today is my first day back to school from summer vacation (I know, ridiculously late right? Thus is life at SCAD....). So instead of a post today (I am compiling fashion week fun though!) here's a sneak at my one of my favorite things about fall: new seasons of my favorite shows! Modern Family starts back up in two weeks and I can not wait! Here's the promo for a very big season!

Fall Shades
Happy Labor Day! While it's not officially fall, the coming and going of labor day is the unofficial signifier of the end of summer. So to begin to celebrate my favorite season, I wanted to share a couple a my new fall purchases both of which happen to be pants. However, they are both shades that I am seeing everywhere for fall: emerald green and oxblood red. These have been some of my favorite colors for a long time. I love their jewel-like quality and the richness they both bring to an outfit.
Here are some of my favorite runway looks for Fall 2012 in both shades.

Dreaming of Fall
I had a great time at the beach this weekend - lots of sand and fun, a maybe little too much sun (I got burned the first day, but at least it's starting to turn golden now). My impromptu trip was the perfect ending to summer. But then I realized, it's not nearly the end of summer. Bummer.
Reasons why I hate August....
It should be the end of summer, but instead its hot. Like really hot. And it has no chance of cooling off anytime soon. Also, by August all my favorite stores are receiving fall trends and selling boots, sweaters and coats (oh my!). This inevitably makes me crave fall clothes. So I buy them, and then can't wear them until maybe the end of September, maybe. If we're lucky, and I don't mind being a little too warm. Hence, I hate August.
Also, while everyone else is going back to school already, I still have over a month. Which should be nice, but I'm excited to start back up. I can't wait for my friends to be back in town and to be busy with projects. I am a little anxious that I'll end up being too busy, but I'll deal with that train when we get to the station.
So for now, I'll be dreaming of brisk fall temperatures and lots of sweaters. Here's to hoping summer ends soon!
